Question
My Yorkshire Terrier does #2 with his leg up the same way he pees.
It gets on his hair around his leg, how can I get him to go like a normal dog?

All dogs have their own way of going to the bathroom, and it is fairly common for some dogs to defecate with one leg up in the air.
Unfortunately there isn’t really a way to train dogs the “proper” way to urinate or defecate.
It is an instinct that the animal learns, so there’s not much to do but go with it.
One thing you might want to try is simply keeping the hair around his backside and the back of his back legs trimmed quite short.
This will help ensure that when he does go, it doesn’t get tangled up in his long fur.
