Yorkshire Terrier Food

(Houston, TX)

Question

I want to feed my teacup yorkie premium dog food and do not know where to start.

Right now she is eating Science Diet. I am told she needs a meat/veg based food and do not know where to begin.

Please advise.

Answer

Whenever you are selecting yorkshire terrier food, the most important thing to do is simply read the label.

Foods with corn as the first ingredient are of very low quality. Instead, you want to look for one that lists a meat as the first ingredient.

Science Diet isn’t a bad choice, although you might want to compare it to Eukanuba and Wellness CORE brands.

These two brands are known among breeders to have some of the highest density of meat and important vegetables rather than filler materials like corn.
