Yorkie Size

Question

My yorkie weighs about 14 lbs. Is this normal?

Answer

The average weight for a yorkie is 6-7 lbs. Some of my readers have told me that their yorkies weigh 9 or 10 lbs. 14 lbs does sound a bit too much for a yorkie. How old is he?

My friend Linda has 2 Yokeis Louie is 15 lbs and Oliver is 14 lbs. They are big boys.......... Honestly, I have never seen such large Yorkies. Very unusual to that particularly in that breed.

My Harley is a 14 pound Yorkie! I was told he would weigh between 5 and 7 pounds so not sure what the deal is???? I love him to death and wouldn't trade him for the world!!
