Harry

My family is getting a Yorkie puppy in late August.

We have already bought all the things needed: a dog bed, food, treats, a harness(we are going to use this when the dog is older), a brush, dog shampoo, feeders, and some toys.

We need some info on how to take care of him and what else we need.

Also when would be a good time to take him to the vet to get shots and wormed, etc. Harry (our dog) is currently 8 weeks old and we will be getting him when he is 10 weeks old.

-thanks, Maryanne Yang

Congratulations on your yorkie Harry he is adorable. You will probably need a brush and comb,shamp.&cond.,a good vet or 2,references to look back on when your dog gets sick and the vets not open a good food a groomer piddle pads and weewee pads(probably a weewee pads when he is being trained to go outside or on the piddle pad I use piddle pads because I have hawks and owls and there also poisonous toads that your dog will die if he eats it or bites it)and flea medicine to use when he gets fleas and if it looks like he is biting you or your kids he is actually teething because his teeth are growing and it hurts to learn more look it up.Good luck with Harry. I hope my advise goes far and wide.

Yorkie puppy magazine
by: Anonymous

When i got my first yorkie i bought the yorkie puppy magazine at petsmart or petco. Both stores have them for 9.99. Very informative and I learned a lot. Now I have 2 yorkies. :) enjoy! I never feed mine table scraps. They have sensitive tummys. I would read up on yorkie health also. Common health problems so you can do everything possible to ensure a healthy pup. 12 weeks and 16 weeks you will need shots. You can get influenza and kennel cough during those two visits. They will need 2 rounds. So my vet told me they could get one set at 12 weeks and the other at 16 weeks. :) lots of luck with your new addition! Theyve changed my life! I love them oh so much!!!

yorkie talk

Don`t go on yorkie talk and mention that you are getting your puppy at 10 weeks. They will make you feel an inch tall. They claim you should never ever take a puppy before 12 weeks. Omg they are so mean there. Hope this place is nice.
