yorkie diet

Question

Do yorkshire terriers eat alot?

Answer

Yorkies are small dogs so it will not take too much to fill up their tummys.

When your yorkshire terrier is a puppy (under 6 months) they need to be fed small amounts 3-4 times/day.

Once they get a bit older this can be changed to twice a day, about 1/3 of a cup.

This will vary from yorkie to yorkie and will also depend on the dog food you are using.

But to answer your question, they do not eat too much :)

Yorkie food
by: Dee

I feed Baybee Purina puppy chow formulated for X-small puppies. There is always dry food and fresh water available to him at all times and he does not overeat. Do not let a Yorkie have access to cat food as it is too rich and will give them "the runs". I have turkey and chicken breast a lot (don't like dark meat) and he has that alot. No skin or sauces or spices. He loves turkey breast so much that my adult politically incorrect son calls him a "turkey whore".
