Spaying yorkie

Question

I have a Yorkie that will be a year old on the 31st of Dec.

My question is how will I know when she is in heat and how many heats should she go thru before I have her spayed.

What are the signs that I need to look for, I don't want her to come up pregnant?

Answer

She does not have to go through any heats before being able to be spayed, and some vets actually advise doing this before her first heat.

Your yorkie can be spayed now. I would advise taking her to a vet and getting their opinion and possibly getting an appointment.
