The snorkie, although not as popular as other yorkie mix dogs, is just as cute! This breed is however becoming more popular due to its wonderful characteristics and great personality!

This mini schnauzer/yorkie mix is recognised by the American Canine Hybrid Club.

However, as mentioned in the previous yorkie mix pages, please try your nearest yorkshire terrier rescue, before encouraging any further breeding of these ‘designer dogs’.

Shnorkie’s are very happy, friendly dogs and are great with children as well as other pets. If you are looking for a great family dog a schnorkie could be the breed for you!

They are also intelligent dogs and are very quick learners and should prove very easy to train.

They are said to be very vocal dogs and may need a bit of extra training to control their barking.

A schnauzer yorkie mix can grow to about 7-12lbs when fully grown, obviously depending on the size of the parents.

The schnorkie head normally takes on the schnauzers boxier looking head, although will be smaller.

Their hair can be grown long like a yorkies which would require a lot of grooming, but a good thing is that they will also be non-shedding and hypoallergenic.
