Romeo going to the car wash

Romeo is 9 months old and was born in Arizona.

Like many Yorkies I know, he is a very "picky" eater but I am happy he loves raw fruits and vegetables!

He loves the outdoors and can be possessive with his toys!

Romeo does not like being alone and makes the most pitiful crying sounds if he believes that he is.

He's naughty
by: Romeo's Mom

Romeo has learned to lock the car doors and roll down the windows! It's fun to watch him repeat this trick again and again.

Bath time
by: Romeo's Mom

The first three or four times I bathed Romeo at home he was so scared and tried to "escape". I did not let this stop me though. I continued to bathe him, at home, weekly and would have him groomed professionally once a month. Now it's almost seven months later and Romeo looks forward to his weekly baths at home. My advice to Yorkie parents -- give your baby a bath in between grooming and eventually he/she will enjoy it.

Thank you Trisha. Romeo is just a bit over 2 years old now and he is a character. He is a bit bigger than most Yorkies I've met even though he is a picky eater. Would love to see pictures of Yorkie -- please share some.

Yorkie Update
by: Romeo's Mom

My Yorkie Romeo is just over two years old now and is as naughty as the day I first brought him home.

I have to take him for daily drives even if it's around the block and back!

He wants complete attention and will kick up his heels and growl if I ignore or pretend to ignore him.

Lately Romeo has taken a liking to steaks and hamburgers.

He sits in the kitchen and keeps a close watch on me while I make his meals. He still enjoys a healthy diet of fruits, vegetables and cereal, and his favorite dessert is vanilla ice cream with a cherry.

Hi :)

Hello! first of all your Romeo is so cute!!.. I have a question, you give him a bath weekly? isnt that bad for their skin?. I was doing that before with my Yorkie and the vet told me only to do it once every 4 weeks.

Weekly Bath for yorkies
by: Anonymous

Romeo and I thank you for your compliment. I have been bathing Romeo weekly and he's now 28 months.

I use an oatmeal shampoo and conditioner and dry him immediately with a regular hair dryer on the cold setting. Sometimes, if it's very cold, I'll wait for maybe 10 days before I bathe him but his hair gets oily fast.

Please also join Yorkietalk.com. It's a forum of Yorkie parents worldwide and everyone shares information on their babies.

Just last week we all talked about bathing our babies and I was surprised that almost everyone who responded to the blog bathe their Yorkies weekly.
