Title

Riley was my mom's puppy before I took him over...

by Kelley C. Kirschke
(Elmira, NY)

When my mom found out the news that she had advanced lung cancer, someone bought her Yorkie puppy to keep her company(which is not good idea).

As she passed away, I was able to take over her puppy (that time he was 8 months)..

To be honest, I do have three dogs (two labs and one of them are deaf and a chihuahua) at home which never met Riley the yorkie yet.

Also I am deaf so I am not able to hear any noise they make. So if one of them are growling, I will not know to prevent it or stop it..

I was very concern on how Riley the Yorkie will react to dogs or dogs react to him when I brought him home in different state. I was very cautious about introducing them.

To my pleasant surprise, he took up all three dogs with ease. He even played with them right at that second they met.

My dogs did not what to make of Riley nipping at them. They were more curious than being upset. Riley grew very close with one of my dogs (black lab) and continue to be each other's best friends.

When I take one of dogs outside, he would wait at door for us to return so he can greet us with his exciting personality.

I am telling you Yorkie dogs are wonderful and easy dogs to handle. They are so much fun to have around even they are forever getting into something they are not supposed to do.
