Our Yorkie

I have an 18 month old male Yorkie that has been raised with 2 field bred English Springer Spaniels that are both champion bird dogs.

The other day while doing some water retrieves with the Springers for some summer exercise the Yorkie, Blue, is making serious gestures like he wants a chance to retrieve a bumper.

So I hup the Springers and toss the bumper and sure enough, Blue launches into the pond, swims directly to the bumper, grabs it and returns it to hand.

I was amazed at the strength of his swimming. He has done some minor swimming before but nothing like this. In the last few days he has done over 25 water retrieves and loves it.
