Newly Rescued Yorkie...Advice Needed Please

We are totally in love with the 5 year-old male Yorkie (present name Romeo)we just brought home today.

His previous owner left him crated each day for up to 7 hours!!! He seems very comfortable in our home; prefers our 7 year-old son over the adults :-), and we have NO reservations about our baby boy.

However, we do have some socialization concerns...

Romeo mercilessly humps his bed...nothing else, just the bed. Also, he's a bit 'item aggressive' - wants to play but will try to bite me if I reach for anything he's holding or lying on. I'm wondering if this is because of his lack of socialization and if so, is it too late to re-train him away from these habits?

Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Take your time with him. He has been on his own for so long. You will be his best friend if you go out and buy some bully sticks. they love them. He will learn to come to you for love as long as you have one in your hand for him. It takes a long time to eat so leave him alone with it for a while. He will also need a lot of love

just give the doggie some time to adjust and stufff. later u can get him fixed. but my dog only likes my daughter out of the family.

We adopted a 7 year old male Yorkie, as his owner passed away. We don't know anything about him other than his previous owner was in a wheelchair.
When we brought "teddy" home he was great, until he was here with us for about 3 months. When Teddy first came home with us, he let us know when he needed to go out, we could leave him at home while we went to work and school and let him have the run of the livingroom and kitchen, and he never had any accidents. All of a sudden around the time he had been with us about 3 months, when we leave he goes right over to where I sit on the couch and urinates on the side of it, and on our livingroom rug. He even started to urinate and poop in the house...not 5 minutes of us just coming inside with him going potty outside. I just don't know what went wrong, or why, and we are getting very frustrated with having this happen. He gets a ton of attention, as when we are not home, most of the time my parents come and take him to their house (which is everyday we are at work and school), sometimes they pick him up in early afternoon, other days, he goes over for the day when we drop our youngest off to get on the bus. He is very lovable and wants nothing more to be held all the time. We did end up having to put him in a crate at night when we slept, because he wanted to sleep on bed with us, and if we didn't allow him too, he would pee and poop all over my livingroom all night. Any ideas or suggestions?
