Title
9 Yr. Old Female Yorkie...
by Elizabeth
(Jacksonville, Texas)
Hello, We are about to bring home a healthy 9 yr. old female, spayed Yorkie. She is UTD on all her vaccines, on preventive meds (parvo, heartworm, etc.) and otherwise has been lovingly cared for.
She is now a "retired" dog from breeding a few years back before she was spayed at age 7 yrs.
I suppose I worry more than necessary however next month (March 3) will be a year since I lost my Mini Schnauzer Therapet and naturally this is hard anyway.
Could you give me some info or an opinion.
I did grow up with Yorkies and do know their temperment, how to properly care for them, etc. and our dogs lived for a long time (around 15 yrs. or so).
Anyway, any advice would be appreciated in advance. Thank you.

Hi there, it sounds like your new yorkie has been very loved for and all the necessary vaccinations etc have been taken care of.
It is natural for you to worry after losing your Mini Schnauzer a year ago, but I honestly think you wil be fine. I am very sorry for your loss.
You already know how to care for a yorkie and are aware of what their characters are like.
If you have any specific questions please do not hesitate to come back and ask whenever you are unsure.
I wish you all the best with your new addition to the family!
Please come back and send us a picture of your yorkie once you bring her home. We would love to see her :)
